Set up the page, one short video at a time
Each video is about a minute and shows the real screens. The steps are written out under each one, so you can read instead. Start with the first and go in order, or jump to the one you need.
Recorded on the real site with a sample family. Narrated with an AI voice.
01 Create your account
1:17Sign up as a parent or as the athlete, and make the page in about two minutes.
- Choose who is setting this up: a parent or the athlete. Under 13 needs a parent account.
- Type your name, email and a password of at least eight characters.
- Type the athlete's first and last name, and pick the state and graduation year.
- Start typing the school and pick it from the list, so the page connects to the school's team.
- Choose the main sport, then the school team: boys, girls or co-ed.
- Press Create our free page. No credit card.
02 Step 1: Who the athlete is
1:04City, height and weight, grades, the Who I am box and a headshot.
- The name, graduation year, school and team are already filled in from sign up.
- Add the city, then height and weight.
- Add the GPA, and the SAT or ACT score if there is one.
- Write three or four sentences in the Who I am box, in the athlete's own words.
- Upload a headshot: head and shoulders, facing the camera.
- Leave the page public so coaches can find it, and press Save profile.
03 Steps 2 and 3: Sport and first season
1:12Add the sport, then the first season with its position and stats.
- The sport from sign up is already on the page. The free plan covers one sport; Pro adds every sport.
- Pick the grade, the year and the team name for the season.
- Choose the position (or the events, strokes or weight class for other sports).
- Enter the season's numbers. Enter what you have and skip the rest.
- If the season has not started yet, enter last season now and add this one after the first game.
- Press Add season. Earlier seasons can be added any time under Sports and seasons.
04 Step 4: Add a highlight
0:37Paste a YouTube or Hudl link. Nothing to upload.
- Paste the link to the highlight video from YouTube or Hudl.
- Give it a short title and pick the season it belongs to.
- Press Add clip. The free plan holds three clips; Pro holds as many as you want.
- Lead with the best plays, and keep the jersey number easy to see.
05 Step 5: Your high school coach
0:35Ask the high school coach to confirm the page.
- Type the coach's name and school email.
- Pick the sport they coach and press Send confirm.
- The coach gets one email asking to confirm the athlete is on the team.
- Press Finish. The page is live and the dashboard shows what is still missing.
06 Pick your top schools
0:51Choose up to five colleges, and get an email when a coach there saves your athlete.
- Type a college name and pick it from the list.
- Add up to five. Mix a reach, a good fit and a safe pick.
- They show on the public page, in order.
- If a coach at one of them saves your athlete to their board, it is a match and you get an email.
07 Email a college coach
1:02Pick a college and a coach, read the email we wrote, and send it from your own email.
- Open Write to a coach and pick a college. Your top five come first.
- Press Show coaches and pick a coach. The head coach or the recruiting coordinator is the best first email.
- Press Write to the coach. The email is written from the athlete's page. Read it and fix anything.
- Press Open in Gmail or Open in my email app. It opens with the address, subject and message filled in, and you press send.
- Come back and press I sent it. In five days you get a reminder to follow up, and the follow-up is already written.
- The free plan writes to three coaches. Pro writes to as many as you need.
08 Finish the page
0:35See what a coach still looks for, sport by sport, and fix it in one tap.
- The cards at the top of the dashboard say what is missing and why a coach cares.
- Press Do it to go straight to the right screen.
- The full checklist is below: the page first, then one list for each sport.
- Keep going until everything is checked, then send the link to a coach.
